Whether
you are looking for 1 lesson as an introduction to surfing;
or multiple lessons to speed-up and enhance your progression,
we will endeavour to be as flexible as we can in order to
cater for your needs. Our instructors will provide you with
the tools you need to progress quickly, safely, and help to
maximise your enjoyment of learning to surf.
We use soft foam surfboards for all beginners (and wherever
we feel it is necessary) due to the nature of the sport, as
your safety is paramount. We have a wide range of Alder
wetsuits to fit all sizes and shapes, so as to keep our
students snug and warm throughout their session. We also have
soft and hard 'Bic'
surfboards of varied dimensions to cater for 'improvers'
and intermediates.

will normally have two 2hr lessons daily, as long as
conditions are suitable. We kindly ask that students
check-in at Alcatraz (unless otherwise stated) within
reasonable time to allow for the lesson to get under
way on time. |

Unless they have their own equipment, students need only
bring with them a towel, swimwear, and perhaps some lunch
or lunch money. Don't forget to slap on some high factor sun
cream! (SPF 50 is preferable)

Stag and Hen parties
Stag and Hen parties are also more than welcome; although
we must stress that no alcohol (or any other stimulants for
that matter) should be consumed prior to your lesson for safety
reasons, and to the benefit of your enjoyment. Anyone considered
to be less than sober will be refused participation, foregoing
their lesson and deposit!
